Hammer and Stain DIY Workshops was founded by Lisa Huigens in 2016.  Her mission is to empower women to bring out their creative sides. Whether you are a first-time DIYer or a seasoned crafter, Hammer & Stain has you covered. Her passion is to help customers transform an unfinished piece of wood into a wall-worthy piece.

Meet the Owner

Tammy S. Milam was born and raised in Acadiana.  Recognizing the need for creative and fun entertainment, she opened the 1st paint and sip franchise, Painting with a Twist, in July 2009.  It was a place where one can get a feel of what it's like to be creative without being intimidated. 

Ten years later, and having planned over 6100 parties, she discovered Hammer and Stain, a Do It Yourself (DIY) Workshop that specializes in preparing unfinished wood projects into wall worthy pieces.  She has added other mediums to the collection I.e. sea glass and resin to keep up with the latest trending projects in the DIY world. We'll demonstrate step by step how to complete your project, however, you can still work at your own pace.  No rush...you're there to enjoy, relax and create.   BYOB + DIY = FUN!
